| Productivity Improvement Case Study competition 2009 |

Event Highlights:
Poona Divisional Productivity Council every year conducts Productivity
improvement Case Study Competition. This year on 4th of December PDPC conducted
the event.
Response for competition is increasing every year tremendously. This year total
case studies were 50 including large, medium with process as well as
engineering & automobile background from all over Maharashtra i.e. from
Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur ,Nasik, Aurangabad etc.
Few names of participants are: Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, John Deere
Equipment, Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilisers, LG, Epcos, Tube Products of
India, Ashok Iron, Hindalco, Grindwell Norton, Bharat Electronics, etc.
Function was inaugurated by Mr. Sadashiv Pandit of Fleetguard group of
companies with his delighted speech on productivity improvement. Studies were
presented by participants from participated companies. There were 12 judges
having expertise & vast experience evaluated case studies during
competition. Result & awards were presented on the same day by PDPC.
Important guidance in the field of productivity was obtained from Dr.
Shejwalkar & Dr. Sabade at the end of function with small training on
Theory of Constraint by expert Mr Kiran Utpat.
