Introduction

Theory Of Constraints [TOC] is a body of practical know-how developed by Dr. Eliyahu Goldratt, author of the best seller "THE GOAL" [and many other books as well ] and an internationally recognized leader in the development of new business concepts and systems.

TOC is an approach which helps the organization to achieve dramatic improvements.
- In terms of profit
  AND/OR
- In areas which impact profit/ organizational performance in a striking manner.

This program is intended to guide participants about how to improve 'Production' through the application of TOC.

This Program aims to achieve the following :

Improvement in Delivery performance
Reduction in lead time
Increase in outputs(Productivity!) by the release of hidden excess capacity
Reduction in work in process

Content Details

Fundamentals of Theory of Constraints.

Issues in production planning.

Understanding the core problem that leads to issues such as :

Poor delivery performance
Long lead times
'Apparent' shortage of capacity

The learning from the 'Simulations'.

DRUM - BUFFER - ROPE(DBR)

Other issues that need review - Batch Size, Efficiency Measurements.

Buffer management- the feedback and Improvement mechnanism.

Adapting the solution to specific enviroments- Make to Stock, Make to Order environment.

Please bring your laptops with you for simulation training. Eliyahu Goldratt's book on production - The TOC way along with the Simulation CD will be provided to each participant.

He is a certified application expert in operations and distribution management certified by Goldratt Schools.

He is also a certified practitioner in Supply Chain Logistics and in Finance and Measures- being certified by TOCICO [Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization].

Having an overall experience of over 29 years in consultancy and training, in the field of TOC, Industrial Engineering and Quality Management Systems. He provides consultancy services to organizations on TOC which has allowed companies to achieve results at faster rates than what they had achieved previously.
