PDPC is a local counterpart of National Productivity Council established in 1959. Its Governing Body is Tripartite with representation of Employers, Employees and Government. PDPC is a progressive nodal agency operating with an objective of promoting Productivity and Quality concepts in various sectors. PDPC is an Autonomous and Non Profit Organization operating mainly in Pune, Maharashtra providing services to improve the productivity of any type of manufacturing or service organization. The Council also regularly organizes Technical training programs for Operators, supervisors & managers in English & Marathi. PDPC provides services through full time employed qualified and experienced industrial engineering consultants.

Objectives
- To promote the latest and apt techniques of productivity improvement in a cost effective way so as to assist industry to stand and prosper in the changing global scenario and which ultimately serve the economic development of the local region
- To act as a catalyst in the Union - Management co-operation process. Union- Management is equal partners in productivity promotion, which brings prosperity to everyone.
Organization Structure
There are 30 Resource persons/ Expert who are expert in the field
Consultants are veterans in the field of productivity having rich experience of Productivity related issues in every type of organization.
For training, there is a full time co-ordinator with engineering background. The co-ordinator identifies various training and related requirements and accordingly designs the training program in association with the expert in the field. Training programs are validated before announcing as a public program.
Publications are meant for concept clarifications in a simple way in English as well as in Marathi.
